This is beautiful, and regarding Grand Rapids, I have a number of friends who live there. We forget about the beauty that resides within that which is familiar to us, and we love the new. The same "shiny object" syndrome we constantly struggle with - it is harder to cleanse your heart daily and to start anew with the same object, than to go off and to find something unfamiliar that we think will be better. But all this is human, and forgiving ourselves and others is part of life too.

You and Jen Vermet's newsletters are why I love Mondays. I'll never forget your ecstatic description of The Third Door on my podcast (episode 2!). Still haven't read that one! I've been thinking about familiarity, too. I have an immense wanderlust for Japan. My girlfriend hears from me constantly about how I want to travel through Japan, like a true vagabond. Can't do that now. At least, not until there's a vaccine, probably. Why can't we be happy here? Why can't we learn to make peace with ourselves where we are? The more we ache and wish and wax poetic about visitation, the less we appreciate our immediate surroundings, the less we feel grateful for where we are: home.

Love the newsletter as always, Cullin. Keep it the hell up.

Cheers

- Paul
